3rd ELA
Mrs. Slaton earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Sam Houston State University. She later went on to obtain her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership with a Principal Certification from UT Tyler.
Mrs. Slaton came to Eustace ISD in August of 2017. She is currently still teaching at Eustace Intermediate as a 3rd Grade ELA teacher.
Mrs. Slaton started her teaching career in Athens ISD in August 2011. She worked for this district a total of 6 years. Her first four years were at Athens Middle School teaching 6th Grade ELA. She moved to Central Athens Elementary, where she taught for two years as a 4th Grade ELA teacher, in order to have some primary-level experience.
Mrs. Slaton is married and has two children, a boy and a girl. She has a Miniature Pinscher, named Jax, who thinks he is a bulldog because the rest of his family is Bulldog Proud!
Mrs. Slaton is an avid reader. Her favorite books have come through the recommendations of her students. She loves showing them how a book can be the cheapest form of travel. She loves to spend time with her family, whether traveling and making memories, or simply relaxing and cheering on the Bulldogs from the bleachers.
