Mrs. Gibbs (Formerly Estes) is a native of Texas, who was transplanted to the desert of California by her father’s career at the young age of 5 years old. She spent summers vacationing in Texas with family and close friends. As soon as her family was able to relocate back to Texas they eagerly took the opportunity. Mrs. Gibbs graduated a year early from Excelsior High School in Victorville, CA to be able to return to Texas for College. She never plans to live outside the great state of Texas again.
Mrs. Gibbs graduated from Teaxas A&M Commerce with her Bachelor’s of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies in December of 2013. She is state certified to teach grades Early Childhood through 6th grade. Mrs. Gibbs added her Special Education Certification in June of 2015, when she found her true calling as a teacher on the Intermediate Campus in the 3rd Grade Special Education Department.

Mrs. Gibbs (Formerly Estes) began her career working at Kidsfirst Christian Academy in Malakoff, TX as the lead Pre-K Teacher. When she began her college classes at A&M Commerce she took a position as a Special Education Aide at Tool Elementary School. There she gained significant experience working with Special Education students and staff, including her mentor Janet Bonner. Mrs. Gibbs stayed home with her young children for several years before returning to the education field as a Certified Teacher in August of 2015. She began her career as a 1st Grade teacher at Eustace ISD. The next year, she moved to the Intermediate Campus Special Education Department. Mrs. Gibbs teaches Reading, Language Arts, Math and also the Sonday Dyslexia Program for many 3rd grade students. Mrs. Gibbs loves spending each day in 3rd grade as a part of the Intermediate family.
Mrs. Gibbs (formerly Estes) married the love of her life, Matthew Gibbs, in April 2019. She had spent nearly 3 years as a single mother to her 6 children after the end of her 14 year marriage. Mrs. Gibbs is a very proud wife and mom to 6 wonderful children. All of her children attend Eustace ISD. She spends the majority of her spare time with her husband and children as a family. “We love to do things together! We’re foodies, and the kids like having cooking challenges. We love hanging out with our family boating and tubing in the warm weather. Football and basketball games in the fall and winter time. Spring, we’re outside, riding motorcycles, planting things that I’ll likely kill somehow, or fishing.” Mrs. Gibbs explains. The Gibbs/Estes Tribe have 3 crazy dogs at home named Lucy, Chief and their newest family member Bailey Joy Hagood. Lucy and Bailey Joy are registered Emotional Support Animals, Bailey Joy is still in training. She was named after her sons favorite teachers Melanie Bailey and Sandra Hagood. Mrs. Gibbs and her family love being apart of the Eustace ISD family. “Eustace is where we call home, I hope to see each of my 6 babies graduate from here. We love being apart of this community, it’s really an honor to be apart and get to teach her everyday.”
